Keep in mind that in the afternoon, Machu Picchu is visited by fewer tourists, so you’ll be able to take better photos!

If you’re lucky enough to stay overnight in Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes), you can enter from 6 a.m. and watch the sunrise at the Inca city. Most tourists prefer to visit Machu Picchu early. That way, you’ll have free time in the afternoon to explore Aguas Calientes town!
