Machu Picchu, a place of historical and religious importance in the world.
When we talk about the best destinations in the world, the most amazing natural places on the planet or those that can not miss on your bucket list, Machu Picchu is surely one of the first ideas that come to mind, and it is not for less. The Incas chose an amazing place to build their city, in the middle of one of the chains of the Andes mountain range and the Amazon jungle; they made it in such a way that it does not alter the incredible landscape around it; on the contrary, it was designed with total care and respect for nature, which was sacred to them. In addition, its location was not chosen at random, because just like other places sacred to great ancient cultures such as the Egyptians or the Mayans, it is also superimposed on one of the geodesic lines of the planet. Perhaps the energy that can be felt in Machu Picchu has to do with the place they chose for it.

Advice from people who have been there

“Spectacular Ruins“
“There are so many expectations that a trip to Machu Picchu generates, that anyone would believe that it is doomed to disappoint; but everything you read and see previously of Machu Picchu, is there, and it is more than that. Machu Picchu is spectacular even in pictures; it is possible that all those pictures give you an idea of what you will see in Machu Picchu, but they definitely cannot make you feel what you will feel there, it is worth everything you have to do to get to Machu Picchu, every step. I totally recommend to hire a good guide and bring plenty of water, nowhere inside you can get something to drink or eat, and if like us you have the idea of taking advantage of every second in Machu Picchu, the best thing to do is to come prepared; I also recommend going up by bus from Aguas Calientes; because despite being very expensive, you will need and want all the energy possible to see and “see again”, the amazing structures that Machu Picchu has.“
