The first step is to choose the day of your trip. The trains most used by tourists are the Expedition and the Vistadome. We recommend the 6.10 am schedule. This way you can arrive early to Machu Picchu and have more free time in the Inca llaqta. For the return trip we recommend the same day (or next day) at 4:22 pm. You choose your itinerary!

Bus ticket

Bus tickets allow the final route from the town of Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu (round trip). This trip is only 10 kilometers. However, because it is uphill on the slopes of the mountains, it is necessary in order not to arrive at Machupicchu exhausted. Going up on foot takes more than 2 hours and requires a lot of energy. For this reason, the bus trip is the best option for a comfortable and safe trip to Machu Picchu.

Final route to Machu Picchu

The final buses to Machu Picchu depart from the town of Aguas Calientes. The section is only 10 kilometers. It takes 30 minutes. You can also climb on foot (more than 2 hours) although it is best to do it by bus. The return journey follows the same route only downhill.

Daily departures

The buses leave every day, from 5.30 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon. In the morning queues can form because that is when more tourists visit Machu Picchu. In the afternoons there are no queues. The buses leave approximately every 10 minutes. There is availability for all people.

The tickets offered in this service allow you to travel to Machu Picchu on your own. The trip begins with the trip in private transportation from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo station. There you must take the train to Aguas Calientes. In this town you take the final bus to Machu Picchu. In the 'Inca city' the tour is carried out with a tour guide. 1 From Cusco to Ollantaytambo by bus

The transportation trip from the city of Cusco to the town of Ollantaytambo takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. This service is not included in the tickets offered on this website. You can get transportation with a tourist agency or with the public transportation minivans on Pavitos street.

2 From Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes by train

In the town of Ollantaytambo, trains are boarded in the direction of the town of Aguas Calientes. This trip can be made in various tourist services at the visitor's choice. 3 From Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu by bus

In the town of Aguas Calientes, take the ecological buses to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. This trip is short. It lasts only 30 minutes and is included in this service.

4 Guided tour in Machu Picchu

At the door of the Inca city, tourists will show their ticket to Machu Picchu included in this service. Then, optionally, they can tour the Inca city with a tour guide (offered in this service as an option). The guided tour lasts 2 or 3 hours. If the visitor got the ticket to the mountains of Machu Picchu, the tour lasts longer.

5 Return to Cusco

After the visit to Machu Picchu, it is time to return to Cusco. Visitors who wish can purchase the lunch service included in this service. The others can return by bus to Aguas Calientes and have lunch there. At the scheduled time, they must board the train to Ollantaytambo.
