The city of Cusco

How is the itinerary?

The tour lasts four days. The first one picks up the tourist from the Cusco airport. In the afternoon the City Tour through the city of Cusco takes place. The second day the tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas takes place. The third day the tour to Machu Picchu takes place starting from Cusco. Finally, after returning to the hotel, on the fourth day the tourist is transferred to the Cusco airport.

1 Day 1: Pick up from the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel

1. The service begins with the pick up of the tourist from the Cusco airport (with prior coordination).
2. Then the transfer is made to the hotel chosen by the visitor. There are several hotel options in the city. All 100% recommended for their good service!.

2 Día 1: City Tour Cusco

1. In the afternoon, the half-day tour (from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm) takes place around the city where we will visit: the Coricancha, the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
2. At night you rest in the tourist hotel, the same for the rest of the nights.

3 Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

1. The second day of the tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
2. The tour lasts 11 hours (from 7 am to 7 pm) includes a visit to the Taray viewpoint, the Inca city of Pisac, the Ollantaytambo fortress, a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba (at the prestigious Tunupa restaurant) and the archaeological site of Chinchero.
3. Then we will return to the city of Cusco to rest at the hotel.

4 Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour – From Cusco to Aguas Calientes

1. The tour to Machu Picchu begins with the pick up of the tourist from the hotel at around 4 am.
2. The first journey is by bus from the city of Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
3. Then the tourist train trip is made from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes. The trip by bus and train take approximately 4 hours.

5 Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour – From Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu

1. After the train trip, an assistant will wait for the tourist at the Aguas Calientes station. Then it will take you to the local bus station.
2. The bus ride is comfortable and short. It lasts only 30 minutes. The trip is made with buses that do not pollute the environment that surrounds Machu Picchu.
3. Once at the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, the visitor will meet his professional guide.

6 Day 3: Guided tour of Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

1. Once in Machu Picchu, the upward journey begins to the House of the Guardian where the classic photos of the Inca citadel are taken.
2. Then the main buildings are toured such as: the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock, the Water Mirrors and more.
3. After approximately 2 hours of visiting Machu Picchu, we will be able to enjoy a buffet lunch at the luxurious Tinkuy restaurant (of the 5-star Sanctuary Lodge hotel).
4. Finally we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes and then take the train and minivan to the hotel in Cusco.

The 4-day Cusco + Sacred Valley + Machu Picchu tour includes the train trip to Machu Picchu in Expedition service. This is for both the outward leg (Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes) or return leg (Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo). Optionally, the tourist can select to travel on the Vistadome upper train.   Yes. The pick up from the Cusco airport as well as the transfer to the airport are included with prior coordination at info@boletomachupicchu.com.

• 2) What type of ticket to Machu Picchu does the tour include?

  The tour includes the entrance Machu Picchu only, the most used by tourists since it allows you to tour the archaeological site as well as take the classic postal photo.

• 3) How is breakfast at the hotel?

  Breakfast takes place in the dining room of the selected hotels. These are American-style buffet services. That is to say: breads, butters, jams, coffee, milk, yogurt, cereals, fruits and more.

  The climate in the city of Cusco is cold temperate. The climate in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is warm temperate. Finally, in Machu Picchu the climate is tropical. Temperatures vary from a minimum of 2ºC. at nights in Cusco up to a maximum of 23ºC. in the afternoons of Machu Picchu.

• 7) Does the tour not include a visit to the Huayna Picchu mountain?

  No. The tour includes the 'Machupicchu Only' entrance. You can request, for an additional cost, the entrance 'Machupicchu with Huaynapicchu'.

• 8) Can the tour be cancelled?

  Yes. The tour can be canceled if a request is submitted 5 days in advance at the latest. The penalty is 50% of the cost of the service. The request is sent to info@boletomachupicchu.com.

• 9) How to pay for the tour?

  Payment for the tour is made with credit or debit cards online. Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express and PayPal cards are accepted.

• 10) Can I change the date of the tour if I have already paid for it?

  No, unfortunately, because it is a tour that includes Machu Picchu, by rules of the Ministry of Culture of Peru, changes of date or of another type are not allowed.
