How is the itinerary?

The tour begins with the tourist's pick up at their hotel in Cusco. Then you travel by minivan to Soraypampa, the starting point of the walk. The first day you walk to the Humantay lagoon and spend the night in a camp conditioned to combat the intense cold. From the second day you descend through tropical paths. The third day we arrive at the famous Hydroelectric station. The fourth day we visit Aguas Calientes (with an option to the thermal baths). The last day is dedicated to Machu Picchu.

1 Day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa

1. The tour begins with the pick up at 05:00 to 05:30 from your hotel in the city of Cusco and transfer by tourist minivan to the town of Mollepata.
2. In this town we make a stop to recover energy. After an hour we arrive at the Soraypampa camp where the hike begins.

2 Day 1: Cusco – Humantay – Soraypampa

1. In the first section we will go through the Tres Cruces sector with views of the Limatambo valley. Then we will continue towards Markokasa and Choquekiclla.
2. From this point we will have privileged views of the snowy Salkantay. Then we will arrive at Soraypampa where we will have lunch thanks to our team of cooks.
3. Then we will start the walk (1 to 2 hours on average) to the Humantay lagoon. Returning to Soraypampa, after dinner, we will spend the night in a cozy camp. That night the temperature will be 2ºC. approximately.

3 Day 2: Soraypampa – Abra Salkantay – Collpampa

1. From Soraypampa, after a nutritious breakfast, we will hike to the Salkantay pass (4,650 meters above sea level). From there we will have unforgettable landscapes of the Andes Mountains.
2. Then we will descend for 2 hours towards the Huayrac camp where we will enjoy our nutritious and delicious lunch.
3. Then we will descend towards the lower part of the mountain following the route of the Salkantay river. We will pass through Challhuay pampa and stop at the Collpampa camp (at 2,900 meters elevation). After dinner we will spend the night in our camp.

4 Day 3: Collpampa – The Beach – Santa Teresa

1. We woke up at 6 in the morning with a coca tea. Then we enjoy a nutritious breakfast and get ready for the walk.
2. I start the trek from the Collpampa camp to the Playa camp in the jungle of Cusco, a place full of green mountains that impress the eye.
3. Once at the La Playa campsite we enjoy a well-deserved lunch. For the rest of the afternoon, tourists can optionally visit the thermal baths of Cocalmayo or go zip-lining.
4. In the comfortable camps of La Playa we will settle. There, after dinner, we will spend the night in a warm geography located at 1,550 meters above sea level.

5 Day 4: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes

1. We get up around 6 in the morning to enjoy a nutritious breakfast. Then we will undertake an arduous hike uphill (approximately 3 hours) until we arrive at the Inca archaeological site of Llactapata. Then we will descend for approximately 2 hours until we arrive at the Hidroeléctrica train station where we will have lunch in a tourist restaurant.
2. From Hidroeléctrica we will undertake the classic 2-hour route that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes, also called Machu Picchu town due to its proximity to the Inca city.
3. We will have dinner at around 7:00 p.m. in a restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Then we will rest in a tourist hotel in the town. We will also have the option to relax in the town's thermal baths (not included in the tour). We are already close to Machu Picchu!.

6 Day 4: Hotels in Aguas Calientes

1. The town of Aguas Calientes is also called Machupicchu town because it is only 10 kilometers from the Inca citadel.
2. The tour includes different standard hotel options, all of good quality and 100% recommended. In addition, for an extra payment, the tourist can optionally request one of the 3 or 4 star hotels that we have.
3. All tourist hotels are located in the town of Aguas Calientes, near the bus and train stations and the thermal baths.

7 Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu

1. We will get up at around 4:30 in the morning to enjoy a nutritious breakfast at the tourist hotel.
2. Then we will board the Consettur bus that in just 30 minutes will take us to Machu Picchu (optional 2-hour free hike). This route offers incredible mountainous landscapes. It is the perfect prelude to the visit to Machu Picchu!.

8 Day 5: Tourist tour of Machu Picchu

1. Once at the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, the tourist will carry out the classic circuit through the Inca citadel, always in the company of his tour guide.
2. The route begins with a visit to the House of the Guardian where the classic panoramic photos of Machu Picchu are obtained.
3. Then there is a tour of the main buildings such as: the Temple of the Sun, the Main Temple, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock, the enclosure of the Three Covers, the Hall of Mirrors, the Temple of Condor and more.
4. After approximately 2 hours of route it is time to leave Machu Picchu.

  The tour allows you to visit the Humantay lagoon on the first day of the hike. This ticket is already included in the tour!.

  The Salkantay trek is available all year. However, it is recommended to do it from April to December since January, February and March are the rainiest months of the year.

• 8) Can I change and the tour once purchased?

  No, unfortunately, due to the rules of the Ministry of Culture of Peru, it is not allowed to make date changes to the Machu Picchu tickets purchased. Therefore, modifications to the tour are not allowed once purchased. Cancellations are allowed with a penalty of 50% of the value of the tour (last term to send request up to 5 days before).

• 9) How do I pay for the tour?
